Along with your local stuff. Here's an exciting line-up of events that you can be involved with on a national level with Christian Surfers Ireland between now and June. The 2nd half of the year will follow as we work through some of the scheduling.
18th-19th January, AGI Leaders Conference, Greystones, Co. Wicklow. CS Ireland to share at conference and put up our resources stall.
Sun. 10th February, "Beyond 48" OM youth conference, Killkenny College, Killkenny. CS Ireland to share at weekend in an interactive way with young people during the afternoon. They'll have a mechanical surf board machine and would like us to challenge the young people at riding it etc. Also they would like us to put up our resources stall and share about the CS vision to the young people.
Fri. 21st February, ISA level 1 Surf Judging Course with Head Judge Pascal Devine, Lahinch, Co. Clare. Anyone interested please contact the ISA.
Sat. 22nd February, Student Surfing Inter-varsities, Lahinch, Co. Clare. CS Ireland asked to help out at comp with tea & coffee stall.
Fri. 7th-9th March, CS UK Leaders Conference, England.
Sun. 16th March,"Arise Dublin", conference day, Croke Park, Dublin. CS Ireland to put up our resources stall at the event and share about what we do.
Tues 25th-29th March, "Dream 2008", AGI National conference, CS Ireland to put up our resources stall during the conference and also do a slot in the program on Wed. 26th at 11am. Anyone available to help with the stall etc. please get in touch.
Sat. 29th March, Portrush Open & Junior Surfing Championships. CS Ireland asked to help at event. This will include running tea & coffee stall.
Sat. 19th April, Irish National Surfing Championships, Bundoran, Co. Donegal. CS Ireland weekend. A great weekend to hang with other CS members. Two houses booked so plenty of room to crash. So come along and cheer John Mac on as he defends his senior title. Will also be offering to help with teas & coffees at the comp. on Sat. Sat. 3rd May, Northwest Surf Club Comp. at Fanad Head. Contact us if you can give a hand.
Fri. 16th-Sun. 18th May, CS Europe Leaders Conference, Hossegor, France.
Sat. 24th May, Wet & Wild Water Women's Surf Weekend, Rossnowlagh, Co. Donegal. Great fun opportunity to surf or learn to surf in an all girl weekend. So come on girls, show the lads how its done.
Sat. 7th June, CS Delegate to attend ISA Executive Meeting, 7pm, Galway.
Fri. 20th-Sun. 22nd June, CS UK National Conference, North Devon, England. Anyone interested should forward names to myself, so we can coordinate travel plans etc.
Late summer Camping weekend in Kerry
Late autumn CS surf weekend/National Conference venue to be decided
